“The Window Series pieces are markedly different from most of my work in that they're less about surface and more about depth.  There's lightness and breath in the coloration, and these pieces require the viewer to engage differently; to look through them and to consider the different experience of each side.”

Window Cintura, 14.5 x 12 x 8 in Free-blown glass off the pipe, sculpted with cork paddles and creased with a hand made blade fabricated specifically for use in the piece.  A “Sahara” background palette, including opal brown, green aventurine, and copper ruby, is layered over the foreground, resulting in a final composition viewed only through the front; through the clear glass “window.” Angled cut and polished top.
